ARTlifeCULTURE has designed and delivered collaborative children’s and youth arts programmes for European Capitals of Culture Liverpool 2008, Vilnius 2009 and Pécs 2010 and for World EXPOs Shanghai 2010 and Milan 2015. Irish children have contributed contemporary expressions inspired by traditional Irish arts and culture.

Our most recent international programme AIR, a multi-media arts installation complete with live youth performance, was designed for the Ireland Pavilion at Milan World EXPO 2015. Supported by the Irish Arts Council and Environmental Protection Agency, AiR featured at the Ireland Pavilion from August 2015 and debuted complete with live youth performance in October 2015. AiR went on to feature at the Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Centre NYC for St Patrick’s Day 2016 supported by Culture Ireland as part of the Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme. AiR lead images feature as title images for Culture Ireland’s 2016 world-wide commemorative programme ‘I am Ireland’ ‘Mise Éire’.

ARTlifeCULTURE will now prepare contemporary youth arts expressions for World EXPOs Beijing 2019 and Dubai 2020 in cooperation with Ireland’s Commissioner General.

Our home programme, summer SING! is a week-long international and inclusive children’s singing festival which sees 300 children and 140 professional and volunteer staff embrace the rich heritage and culture of Cork City while nurturing their natural singing ability. summer SING! is produced by ARTlifeCULTURE in partnership with Music Generation Cork City, in collaboration with Cork City’s cultural, education and inclusion sectors, and further supported by the Arts Council, Cork City Council Social Inclusion Unit, Cork City Council Arts Office, University College Cork School of Music and Theatre, University College Cork International Office and the Association of Irish Choirs.

ARTlifeCULTURE’s child and youth-centred approach emphasises equality of access and quality of process and guarantees excellence and innovation in collaborative international children’s and youth arts initiatives.
